TO BE AVAILABLE DATABASE MANAGEMENT
Global Concepts collects the information of our clients and stores in a computer
in a systematic way, such that a computer program can consult it to answer questions.
Global Concepts uses database management system (DBMS) software to manage and query the database.
The platforms Global Concepts offers are:
MySQL
MySQL (pronounced "my ess cue el") is an open source relational database management
system (RDBMS) that uses Structured Query Language (SQL), the most popular language
for adding, accessing, and processing data in a database. MySQL is noted mainly for
its speed, reliability, and flexibility. MySQL can run on UNIX, Linux, Windows and
Mac OS.
MICROSOFT SQL
SQL Server is a relational database management system (RDBMS) from Microsoft that's
designed for the enterprise environment. SQL Server runs on T-SQL (Transact -SQL),
a set of programming extensions from Sybase and Microsoft that add several features
to standard SQL, including transaction control, exception and error handling, row
processing, and declared variables.
SQL Server is a relational database management system (RDBMS) designed to work
with the Microsoft version of SQL, which is the most commonly used version.
ORACLE An Oracle database, strictly speaking, is a collection of
data managed by an Oracle database management system or DBMS. The term "Oracle
database" is sometimes imprecisely used to refer to the DBMS software itself.
Oracle stores records relating to each other in a table. For example, all the
records for employees of a company would be stored by Oracle in one table, the
employee table. A table is easily visualized as a tabular arrangement of data,
not unlike a spreadsheet, consisting of vertical columns and horizontal rows.
